Helping build a better community one family at a time
Our commitment to the community
Working to empower residents to impact the future of Detroit’s Eastside. Through coalition building, resource development, joint planning and programming, we will promote economic growth and neighborhood improvement.
Educational Workshops
Sessions are designed to prepare prospective buyers and current homeowners. Sessions are generally 2-8 hours, depending on the workshop, and are held Monday-Saturdays to accommodate your schedules.
Owner Occupied Home Repair
Owner Occupied Home Repair – U-SNAP-BAC provides support for rehabilitation of owner occupied homes in our service area. Residents can apply for grants for health and safety repairs to their homes. Funds are limited and available in the spring of the year. For more information, contact our offices.

Based on availability, U SNAP BAC has properties available for sale to low and moderate income buyers. We also have 2, 3, and 4 bedroom townhomes for rent on Alter Rd. and Wayburn.
Our Redevelopment Area
The U-SNAP-BAC community is located on the east side of Detroit. Our area of redevelopment focuses on neighborhood improvements within the boundaries our member organization. The boundaries are Morang on the east, Van Dyke on the west, Seven Mile to the north, and Charlevoix to the south.
